For the first time in history of inorganic elemental analysis it is possible to analyze 5 elements in 1 analyzer. The newly developed and worldwide unique inductar EL cube sets new standards in flexibility and precision with its innovative solutions and state-of-the-art technology. It is equipped with a long-life solid-state high-frequency induction furnace, which makes it possible to reach a sample temperature of up to 3000 °C. Thanks to an optional camera the gas release can be observed in real-time by the operator. Also for the element detection new technologies are used. Carbon, sulfur and oxygen are analyzed with a wide-range IR detector, which are capable to detect the whole concentration range. For the precise determination of hydrogen an innovative detection technology finds usage for the first time. The concentration of the fifth element nitrogen is detected via TCD.
The innovative design with its feeding system from top and intelligent gas flow direction reduces dust and debris. This ensures high tidiness within the whole device, which makes any tedious cleaning operation unnecessary. Together with the tool-free maintenance and intuitive operation, the inductar EL cube is really easy to use. Moreover, the optional 90 position autosampler allows a fully automated operation. Its maximum user convenience and maximum robustness in 24 / 7 operation make the inductor EL cube a highly efficient workhorse in the lab or quality control. These advantages are even surpassed by its high versatility and precision at the same time.
Depending on the selected functionality, the inductar EL cube is optimized for simultaneous carbon and sulfur analysis or simultaneous oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen analysis.
We offer an automated version with 89 (CS) or 42 (ONH) sample positions as well as a manual version with 2 sample positions.
Measuring method
Depending on the selected functionality, the inorganic sample that is to be analyzed will either be combusted in Oxygen at 2000 °C (CS) or fused in Helium or Argon at 3000 °C (ONH). Subsequently the resulting gases are analyzed. All analyzes are done according to international standards.
Easy sample preparation and handling
Without any special sample preparation, all kinds of solid samples are weighed into ceramic sample containers (CS) or graphite sample containers (ONH) (weight up to 1 g). For some analyzes additives need to be added.
5 elements in 1 device
The inductar EL cube is the first analyzer that combines all five elements CSONH in one single device. Some simple maintenance work is sufficient to transform the device from the CS mode to the ONH mode and make the analyzer run as reliable and accurate as the respective specialized analyzers.
Linear single/multipoint-calibration
The operator is guided through the calibration by an intuitive calibration assistant. The transparently calculated calibration is editable and storable. Furthermore, templates can be stored for future calibrations. Calibration is linear and stable for months.
Few operational requirements
1 m laboratory working space, one electrical connection and one operating gas are sufficient for long term operation.
Fully automatic
Automated and unattended operation is possible by the integrated 89 (CS) or 42 (ONH) sample changer and PC-control through Windows®. Furthermore, optional 21 CFR Part 11 compliant software is available.
Optical camera:
An optical camera is available for observation of the combustion or fusion process.
Electronic analytical balance:
The balance and elemental analyzer form a system.
We offer convenient analytical balances from the leading manufacturers with our instruments.
Nickel capsule press (ONH):
In order to securely close the nickel capsules with mainly powder sample material inside, we recommend to use Elementar’s nickel capsule press. This press helps to smoothly and easily close the nickel capsules.
Lab furnace (CS):
We recommend preheating the ceramic crucibles prior to combustion analysis, as for low carbon concentrations really clean, carbon-free crucibles are needed. For this preheating step we offer several lab furnaces from leading manufacturers.
Halogen trap (CS):
Halogens from halogen containing samples have a major influence on the quantitative detection of carbon and sulfur. Thus, Elementar optional offers halogen traps for chlorine (intrap-Cl) and fluorine (intrap-F).
Our kits of consumables contain all necessary parts and chemicals for the corresponding mode, such as combustion/reaction tubes, all chemicals and instrument specific wear parts. We do not compromise on quality of the used parts and chemicals – this is the prerequisite of a guaranteed long lifetime of our instruments.
For carbon and sulfur analysis the following consumables are needed:
For oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen analysis the following consumables are needed:
